Public Art
A permanent public artwork in celebration of the Vancouver Olympic Torch Relay. Olympic ring colored lines flow freely through red surveyor stakes. Lloydminster is Canada’s only city that borders two provinces. The border is marked by 100-foot (30 meter) high red surveyor stakes. Ekecheiria means the laying down of arms or a truce announced during the Olympic Games ensuring the host city is not attacked and athletes and spectators can travel safely to and from the Games.
